BAKERSFIELD — Jennifer L. Thurston has had two jobs and one hometown.
Thurston grew up in Bakersfield, attended college and law school here, worked as a deputy Kern County counsel for more than a decade, then became a federal magistrate judge in 2009. She became the chief magistrate judge last fall because of seniority.
