LONG BEACH — Judge James D. Otto has presided over several murder trials in recent years, including one over the death of a parrot.
“Frankly, you find some jurors to be much more outraged when it’s a parrot or a dog,” he said.
Edward Cervantes, 18, killed a pet yellow-headed Amazon parrot after an argument with his hosts, according to news reports.
