Facts

In 2002, Linda Moore formed Radiant Skincare Clinic and Radiant Medical Group with Tom Lee, Donna Rutledge, and David Kaufman. In 2003, she signed an employment agreement containing non-competition and non-solicitation clauses. Later, the plaintiffs claimed that Moore used a trade secret client list after leaving to work with a competitor. Consequently, they sued Moore for breach of fiduciary duty, breach of contract, misappropriation of trade secret, interference with economic advantage, among other claims.

Contentions

PLAINTIFFS' CONTENTIONS:
The plaintiffs claimed that Moore violated her employment agreement by providing confidential information to the competitor.

DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS:
The defendant alleged that the client list she shared did not constitute a trade secret.

Result

The jury awarded the plaintiffs $250,001.
