Facts

On March 23, 1995, the plaintiff, a 14-year-old student, received a Hepatitis vaccine by a nurse at her pediatrician's office. The injection allegedly hit a branch of the median nerve causing a neurological pain syndrome (reflex sympathetic dystrophy/causalgia). The plaintiff brought this action against the defendants based on medical malpractice, negligence and negligent infliction of emotional distress theories of recovery.
