The plaintiffs are the children of Frieda Moody, a 38-year-old woman who sought emergency treatment at St. Francis Hospital. Moody complained of severe headaches. A brain scan revealed a subdural hemorrhage. Defendant Clarence Hyshaw is a neurosurgeon who examined Moody. The defendant ordered an angiogram of Moody three days after her admission. The angiogram revealed an aneurysm with vasospasms. Moody died several days later. The plaintiffs sued the defendant for medical malpractice.
