The subject-suit relates to a vehicle accident that occurred on Sep. 30, 2000 on Ventura Boulevard. The defendant was driving a 1999 Ford Mustang and rear-ended the plaintiff driving a 1997 Toyota Corolla with two passengers. The defendant did not dispute liability but argued that the impact was too minor to have caused the claimed injuries.
Settlement Discussions
The plaintiffs demanded $9,700 made up as to three unequal amounts. The defendant offered $5,000 collectively for the three plaintiffs. The plaintiffs accepted, on the day of trial, offers that aggregated $5,250.
