Plaintiff Donna Stephenson was stopped at a traffic light in her 1993 Toyota 4Runner, when she was rear-ended by defendant Ming Ting's Honda Civic. The plaintiff went to a chiropractor and a neurologist for radiating back pain. Therapy had no effect, so plaintiff went to an orthopedic surgeon who recommended fusion surgery.

Settlement Discussions

The plaintiff made a C.C.P. Section 998 demand of $100,000 (policy limits) as soon as the answer was filed. The case settled prior to any discovery.
