On October 14, 1992, Plaintiff Sanders Benton, a 70-year-old retiree, selected a cart and entered Defendant Frontier Super Warehouse grocery market. He alleged that he slipped, fell, and struck his head against a vegetable bin which, approximately 3 weeks later, resulted in bilateral chronic subdural hematomas which required extensive surgery.
