On January 11, 1993, Plaintiff's husband, a 39-year-old unemployed cook, was crossing mid-block, eastbound on Airport Boulevard. Defendant was northbound and approaching Manchester near the LAX. The pedestrian was struck by Defendant in the number one lane. He died of his injuries at the scene.
