On April 9, 1993, Plaintiff, a 31-year-old gardener in the course and scope of his employment for a television studio, was crouched in front of an electric cart manufactured by Defendant. The cart suddenly lunged forward, knocking Plaintiff to the ground and dragging him for some distance.
