On August 27, 1993, Plaintiffs were walking in a shopping center parking lot when Defendant's automobile cut across the parking isle, struck Plaintiff A, and knocked her down to the ground, into Plaintiff B. At the time of the accident, Plaintiff A was an 87-year-old retiree and Plaintiff B was a 70-year-old retiree.
