Facts

Plaintiff, an African-American female employee, sued defendant employer for racial and sexual harassment. The
plaintiff alleged that her supervisor made racial jokes and made sexual comments to female employees. The
plaintiff alleges that although she complained to management, no appropriate action was taken. Management
denied that she did so.
Settlement was reached in the amount of $99,000 plus reinstatement of vacation and sick days that the plaintiff
used in order to seek medical treatment for the stress caused by the harassment.
