The plaintiff, together with two friends, were at the defendant sport center for a sporting event.
After the game, as the plaintiff was leaving the premises, he slipped and fell in a puddle of water
that had been allowed to build upon the tile as a result of a dripping drain.

Injuries

The plaintiffs sustained a comminuted fracture of the left patella. After being taken to the Emergency Room, he underwent an open reduction with internal fixation at the St. Vincent Medical Center and subsequently, he had extended physical therapy. He was allegedly left with residual stiffness when walking and climbing stairs, crepitation and the need for future surgery to remove three screws.
