Facts
On December 6, 1992, Plaintiff Nuha Haddad, a 42-year-old homemaker, struck her head at a shopping center where she and her husband owned a liquor store/delicatessen. Scaffolding had been in the area for approximately 2 1/2 months. Haddad exited her vehicle, took a few steps, and then struck her head on a wooden plank extending from the metal scaffold. It was raining. Pellico & LeMar (the general contractor) and Dave Davis Plastering (the subcontractor) were named as Defendants.
Settlement Discussions
Defendants contend that they offered $75,000 and Plaintiff demanded $145,000. Plaintiff contends that Defendants offered $60,000.
