On December 2, 1993, Defendant ran a red light and collided with Plaintiffs' vehicle. The Plaintiffs were a retired couple in their early 70's. The Defendant driver died of unrelated cancer, several months after the accident. The Co-defendant was the co-owner of the vehicle and the widower of the Defendant driver (he was not involved in the collision).
