The subject accident occurred on October 4, 1991 (accident 2). Plaintiff Tracy Whitthauer, a 21-year-old receptionist, was a passenger in her sister's vehicle which was proceeding straight through an intersection when Defendant Vanig Shaghoian made a left turn in front of Plaintiff's sister's vehicle. A broadside collision resulted. Six months prior, on April 24, 1991, Plaintiff was the driver of a left turning vehicle which was struck in a broadside collision by a vehicle proceeding straight (accident 1).
