Facts
On July 4, 1991, Plaintiff, a 28-year-old advertising junior executive, was a passenger in a water-ski boat when the skier failed to get up out of the water and let go of the towrope handle. Upon release, the rope allegedly flew forward over 100 feet and struck Plaintiff in the face. The manufacturer of the rope, the marina that provided the rope to Plaintiff, the entity that attached the towline to the handle and sold the rope to the marina, the seller of the ski boat, and the manufacturer of the ski boat were named as Defendants.
Settlement Discussions
Plaintiff contends they demanded $250,000 and Defendants offered $120,000 at the MSC.
