Facts

On January 15, 1992, Plaintiff, a 70-year-old retiree, underwent a laminectomy by Defendant doctor at Defendant hospital. A dura leak developed, causing infection which required the insertion of a catheter. When the catheter was removed, a portion was left imbedded.

Settlement Discussions

Plaintiff contends her demand was $200,000 (to both Defendants) and Defendants offered nothing prior to this settlement.
