PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
Segura suffered from asthma, schizoaffective disorder, alcoholism, and partial hearing loss. Based on his condition, he filed an application for disability and disability insurance benefits on Oct. 6, 2009. His application was denied, and he requested a hearing from an administrative law judge. The ALJ found that he was not disabled.
DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS:
The ALJ found that Segura's conditions did not meet or medically equal the severity of a listed impairment, and that Segura had the residual functional capacity to perform a full range of work.
Result
The court denied Segura's appeal and agreed with the ALJ's decision.
