The plaintiff presented on April 19, 2000, to the defendant with bilateral hernias. He had several prior open hernia repairs on both the left and right sides. Bilateral laparoscopic repair was carried out on April 19, 2000. After surgery, the plaintiff complained of swelling and bruising. He noticed one testicle was more elevated and caused him discomfort.
