On Nov. 10, 2000, personal property (including a laptop computer) was stolen from the plaintiffÆs truck. The plaintiff presented a claim to his insurer, State Farm. Ultimately, State Farm paid the plaintiff for a portion of his loss. State Farm declined payment for the laptop and a suit.
