The plaintiff, a 38-year-old waitress, stated that she broke her leg while Bungee jumping on a trampoline. While attending a radio station "Listener Appreciation Day" sponsored by one of the defendants on Aug. 8, 1999, the plaintiff went on a ride, "The Trampoline Thing," which basically was a trampoline where the user is placed in a harness and then is suspended by Bungee cords in order to control movements. On the plaintiff's first jump, her leg shattered.
