Facts
Plaintiff was a construction worker for Morley Construction, a contractor. Tishman Construction Corp. had been hired to act as the construction manager on the project. While plaintiff was carrying a piece of lumber from the street into the building, he tripped over a welder's cord that was in his path.
Damages
Plaintiff suffered a patellar fracture which disrupted the joint space. After treatment for injury, the plaintiff experienced swelling in the injured area, which was later diagnosed as cellulitus. A further, MRI revealed a grade three tear of the medial meniscus.
Injuries
The plaintiff suffered a patellar fracture and underwent several surgeries.
Other Information
The case is proceeding to trial on June 6, 2000 against the welding contractor.
