Facts

The plaintiff was the president and CEO of Inter Valley Health Plan. He alleged that he was wrongfully
terminated in violation of public policy and in breach of his employment agreement. He also alleged that his
employer made fraudulent misrepresentations to him before he was hired.
The plaintiff contended that prior to his hiring, misrepresentations were made to him that the board of directors
wanted to grow the plan, and that after he attempted to make certain changes to the plan, he was terminated.
The plaintiff further contended that Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center induced Inter Valley Health Plan
to breach its employment contract with the plaintiff.
Defendant Inter Valley Health Plan contended that the plaintiff was terminated after an audit of his corporate
credit cards and expense accounts revealed that the plaintiff charged over $132,000 for personal, non-business
items.
Pomona Valley Hospital denied that it induced Inter Valley to breach the plaintiffÆs employment contract.

Settlement Discussions

The plaintiffÆs $600,000 demand was rejected by the defendants at mediation and the settlement conference.

Other Information
