The plaintiff was a customer at the defendant bar. The plaintiff and defendant bouncer, a bar employee, became
involved in a verbal altercation resulting in defendant bouncer striking the plaintiff in the face.
The bouncer then took the plaintiff outside by the throat and a further altercation ensued. The bouncer claimed
