On April 27, 2000, the plaintiff purchased Jumbo Jack sandwiches and chicken salads from a Jack in the Box restaurant for her family members. Approximately 4 to 6 hours later and after they had consumed the food, 13 members of the family became ill with diarrhea, vomiting and fever.
