Facts

The plaintiff, a California corporation, brought suit against Arrisa Technologies Inc. (a Canadian corporation) in Los Angeles Federal Court. The parties had previously entered into an agreement in which they established a joint cooperative venture to design, manufacture, market and sell cellular and other wireless phone RF products and accessories. In its complaint, Seamless alleged that Arrista had breached the agreement and had also committed various torts including misappropriation of trade secrets, unfair competition and fraud. Seamless sought compensatory damages in excess of $10 million.
