Facts
On Nov. 24, 2000, the plaintiffs, Travis Matthew, a 28-year-old city park worker, and Reanne Water, a 30-year-old bookkeeper, were both injured when the car in which they were traveling on Highway 80 was rear-ended by the defendant. The defendant was subsequently convicted under Section 23153 (a) of the C.V.C. The defendant did not deny liability but disputed that the plaintiffs' injuries were caused by the accident.
