Facts
Michael Hairston was employed as a plumber for various companies between 1998 and 2005. Hairston died of acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Plaintiffs, as family of Hairston, filed suit against defendants Cortix Water Products, CRC Industries Inc., Ferguson Enterprises Inc., Home Depot USA Inc., IPS Corp., Irwin Industrial Tool Co., Oatey Co., T. Christy Enterprises, Conleff Plumbing and Rust-Oleum Corp., and others for negligence, loss of consortium, fraudulent concealment, strict liability, and breach of warranty.
Contentions
PLAINTIFFS' CONTENTIONS:
The plaintiffs contended that exposure to chemicals emitted by defendants' products at worksites caused Hairston's leukemia.
Injuries
The plaintiffs claimed the wrongful death of Hairston.
Result
The plaintiffs agreed to a settlement amount totaling $81,900.
