On June 23, 1993, Plaintiff, a 23-year-old pastry chef and actress, was driving a 1978 AMC Jeep Utility vehicle through an intersection on a green light. Defendant's truck entered the same intersection and struck Plaintiff in a broadside collision. The collision caused Plaintiff's vehicle to roll over and resulted in the partial ejection of Plaintiff from her vehicle. She was wearing her seat belt at the time of the collision.
