Facts
On January 27, 1994, Plaintiff, a 40-year-old electrician, was in the course and scope of his employment. He was specializing in the replacement of difficult-to-reach light bulbs and working from his ladder. He leaned against a 30-foot lamppost which was located on Defendant's commercial property in San Diego. The lamppost snapped at its base; Plaintiff fell 20 feet into a pool of water.
