Facts
From May of 1989 through June of 1992, Plaintiff Jane Doe, female owner/director of a private school in her late 30's underwent psychotherapy with a psychological assistant. The assistant received consultations and supervision from a number of mental health professionals, including Defendant, who holds himself out as one of the World's leading authorities on multiple personality disorder and satanic ritual abuse. On/or about March of 1990, shortly after the psychiatrist told the assistant about Shafer's belief in the connection between multiple personality disorder and satanic ritual abuse and the types of behaviors in which satanic cults engage, these same behaviors were allegedly perpetrated on Plaintiff; these continued for more than 2 years, until the therapy with the assistant ended.
