On January 21, 1994, at 7:35 a.m., Plaintiff was an active 72-year-old homemaker for her grandchildren and living in the City of Irvine. She was walking lawfully across the street and within the crosswalk at Yale and Monticello, when Defendants' vehicle struck Plaintiff. Defendant driver was a teenage high school student driving her father's automobile.
