On October 31, 1992, Plaintiff, Linda H. Martin, a 29-year-old IRS representative, took her 1988 Mitsubishi Mirage to Defendant Eddie Nejad's General Auto Repair and Tire Center for rear brake work. Defendant's repairman repaired the left rear brakes. On November 2, 1992, Plaintiff was returning from San Diego when her vehicle spun out and struck a bridge abutment. The wheel came off at some point and was found at the scene.
