On June 27, 1994, plaintiff Pamela Lapham, a 42-year-old car salesperson, was terminated from her employment with defendant Villa Honda. The defendant claimed the plaintiff was terminated after loudly and frequently complaining about co-workers and the various management changes at defendant's place of business. The plaintiff claimed she was terminated for supporting a co-worker's race discrimination lawsuit and for complaining about sexual harassment. The plaintiff brought this action against the defendant based on sexual harassment, discrimination and retaliation theories of recovery.
