On April 5, 1992, the plaintiff, a 46-year-old secretary, was struck by an uninsured motorist in a sideswipe collision. The plaintiff tendered the claim to the defendant insurer and demanded arbitration. The plaintiff brought this action under the uninsured motorist provision of her policy.
