This case arises out of the design, development, construction and sale of homes located in Harbor Cove, Las Vegas, Nevada. Initially there were twelve (12) homes involved in this litigation; however, only ten of the homes suffered damages as a result of deficiencies in the design of the HVAC systems. The remaining party defending this action was Nevada Power Company, the HVAC design professional for Harbor Cove Development Department.
Settlement Discussions
The plaintiffs made a settlement demand for $115,000 representing $10,000 for each of the five Model "C" homes and $13,000 for each of the five Model "D" homes. The defendant offered $32,500 representing $2,300 for each of the five Model "C" homes and $4,200 for each of the five Model "D" homes.
