The plaintiff sued the defendant to collect approximately $4 million in outstanding trade receivables for the sale
of computers and computer monitors to the defendant. The defendant cross-complained against the plaintiff
and GVC for breach of contract and fraud. GVC cross-complained for approximately $250,000 on a trade debt.

Result

The jury awarded plaintiff G-Tech USA $4,357,240, exclusive of interest that amount was reduced to a motion for judgment notwithstanding the verdict for the amount demanded - $3,599,960 together with prejudgment interest of $543,289. The jury awarded cross-complainant GVC nothing. The court granted GVCÆs motion for judgment notwithstanding the verdict and awarded GVC $244,440 together with prejudgment interest of $36,763. The jury awarded AST Computers nothing on its cross- complaints against GVC and G-Tech USA and the court upheld that verdict in post-trial motions.
