Facts

America West Airlines employed Stephanie Gordon, who worked on the ramp at the Colorado Springs Airport. Gordon resigned on two separate occasions. The first time was in November 1997, after she broke her arm on the job, and then in March 1998. The plaintiff alleged that several coworkers and a supervisor subjected her to sexual harassment. She claimed that she complained about the harassment to four supervisors. The defendant
denied any harassment and denied that any supervisors were involved. The defendant also denied that the plaintiff was subjected to a hostile work environment. The defendant maintained that she did not notify her employer of any harassment prior to resigning.
