Facts

The subject-suit arose from an automobile accident which occurred on the campus of the University of California at Riverside. The plaintiff, Anthony Cicconi was pulling up to a stop sign while driving a 1998 Dodge Neon. The defendant, a construction worker driving a backhoe with a front bucket collided with Cicconi's vehicle, causing approximately $2,000 in damage to the vehicle and no damage to the backhoe.

Settlement Discussions

The case settled at $600,000. The insurance policy limits were $500,000.
