Facts

Plaintiffs were the two surviving children of the decedent. She was killed on July 8, 2005 in Richmond, California, when she was crossing the street in a cross-walk, with a green light, and was run over by a large truck owned and operated by the City of Richmond. The driver of the vehicle involved fled the scene, but was subsequently charged with felony hit and run.

Result

Settlement, $1.2 million.
