Facts

Dennis Parker worked for the North Yuba Water District as its general manager. In 2005, he informed his employer that he suffered from anxiety and depression and sought an adjustment of his work schedule. Subsequently, the District terminated Parker's employment. Parker filed suit against the District.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
Plaintiff alleged that defendant terminated his employment absent good cause. Further, plaintiff claimed that defendant did not prove that he was incapacitated or could not perform his duties properly.

Result

Defendant agreed to pay plaintiff three payments amounting to $250,000, $250,000 and $400,000 respectively. In addition, defendant will pay plaintiff monthly payments of $2,195 for 17 years, starting in January 2011.
