This multi-car, rear end collision, occurred in Pasadena, on March 21, 1990. The accident occurred on California Boulevard, in a residential area, east of Sierra Madre Boulevard. Cross-defendant in lane 1, made a sudden lane change to lane 2, to avoid striking a vehicle which had stopped for a left turn mid-block, lane 1. She went out-of-control and spun counter-clockwise, coming to rest in lane 2, eastbound, facing in a north direction. A witness, eastbound in lane 2, stopped without impact with the Cross-defendant's vehicle; however, the Plaintiff, while stopped behind the witness' vehicle, was struck by Defendant's Mazda in a rear end collision, at or about the time that she collided with the witness'.
