Facts
On July 7, 1988, Defendant Fresno Area Transit bus with faulty brakes struck Plaintiff's Ford courier truck in a rear end collision. Plaintiff, a 38-year-old welder, struck his head on his rear window, with sufficient force to break the glass. The force of the collision also shoved Plaintiff's pickup 22-25 feet from the point of impact. Defendants driver and city admitted liability.
