PETITIONERS' CONTENTIONS:
The parties entered into a written agreement in 2008, which contained an arbitration provision. Respondent opened an arbitration proceeding under the terms of the agreement and claimed damages in excess of $200,000. Petitioner moved to dismiss the proceeding. The arbitrator granted petitioner's motion and, accordingly, dismissed the proceedings. Petitioner then filed this petition to confirm the award.
Result
The court granted petitioners' petition and confirmed the arbitration award in favor of the petitioners.
