Facts

On September 28, 1992, at approximately 11:30 p.m. Plaintiffs A, B, and C were traveling at 55 mph in their automobile. Plaintiffs were eastbound and Defendant tractor/trailer rig with 2 attached trailers was westbound -- both on the same roadway. Defendant was driving a diesel truck at approximately 55 mph when the rear trailer fishtailed into the eastbound lane, striking the Plaintiffs' vehicle. Plaintiff A was an 18-year-old student and the unlicensed driver of the Plaintiff vehicle; Plaintiff B was a 51-year-old field worker; and Plaintiff C was a 39-year-old homemaker.

Settlement Discussions

Plaintiffs contend they demanded $300,000 and Defendants offered $200,000.
