The plaintiff contended that on Feb. 25, 1998, she sustained second degree burns on her arm while obtaining a
facial at the Sassy Nails salon when the facial machine sold by Skyline Beauty Supply Corp. malfunctioned
due to defective design, spraying her arm with a stream of boiling water.
Skyline Beauty Supply Corp. disputed the plaintiffÆs claims that the machine was defectively designed and that
Skyline Beauty Supply Corp. sold the machine to Sassy Nails.
