On August 20, 1992, the defendant, David Levitt, D.D.S., placed a superiorsteal implant in the mouth of the plaintiff, a 57-year-old secretary. The implant failed. The plaintiff consulted with an oral surgeon who recommended a bone graft and osteointegrated implants. The plaintiff brought this action against the defendant based on dental malpractice and negligence theories of recovery.
