Facts

On Nov. 30, 1994, the plaintiff, a 38-year-old welder, was involved in a minor rear-end auto accident. The plaintiff was driving a 1985 BMW on Dickens Street in Van Nuys and was at a complete stop when the defendant, driving a 1993 Lumina, rear-ended the plaintiff's vehicle, pushing it into the car in front of it. The plaintiff brought this action against the defendant based on negligence theories of recovery.
