On June 25, 1995, plaintiff Geraldine Perry, a 62-year-old salesperson, was injured when she tripped and fell on an exterior stairway at defendant Pacific R.V. Park's recreational vehicle park in Pacifica. The plaintiff claimed that the stairway violated the Uniform Building Code. The defendant contended that the stairway was safe; and that it did not have notice of a dangerous condition. The plaintiff brought this action against the defendant based on premises liability and negligence theories of recovery.
